  • Metal Lunch Tins/Food Storage

  • Reuseable Water Bottles

  • Cloth Produce Bags

  • Bulk Coffee

  • and more!

Why For the Birds?
As many of you know, we usually do events focused on highlighting local producers and makers. But we have realized for a long time, how much of the food world is wrapped in plastic and while we always seek to minimize the wasteful impact of our events we haven’t really taken on plastics and food in a bigger way. Until…..we started to finding all these beautiful birds nests on Nantucket - with plastic bits interwoven into them. These finds were a bit of a wake-up call for us. Nantucket - it is time we started to take steps - any steps, baby steps, big steps, whatever steps we can manage - to reduce our reliance on single-use plastics.

So, here we are with number one of what we are calling an Island-Kind pop-up. So come and join us, take baby steps right along with us, to turn the tides of plastic pollution. For you, for me, for the whales and for the birds……

Join us at the Handlebar Cafe for some zero-waste fun!
