Empty Bowls

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12th. 5-7pm. CISCO BREWERY. Fill your EMPTY BOWLS!!!! Looking for some local and seasonal soup?? Or perhaps some handmade bowls??? As we come into the Holiday Season are you maybe looking for a way to help fight hunger at the local level???  Then join us and the Artist's Association this Monday, November 12 at Cisco Brewery 5-7pm for the 🍲Empty Bowls Event🍲 This fun event is open to the public, families welcome! This is Nantucket’s contribution to the Empty Bowls Project, an international grass roots project designed to help fight hunger at the local level. There is no entry fee, but a selection of handmade bowls by students, teachers and professional potters will be available for sale, priced between $20 and $100. Once you’ve purchased your bowl, we will fill it with delicious seasonal soup made and donated by Bartlett’s Farm, with a piece of bread made and donated by Something Natural on the side. We’ll enjoy our meals in a fun community setting and all proceeds will go to the Nantucket Food Pantry and the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach. This event is generously sponsored by Cisco Brewers, Bartlett’s Farm, 100 Mile Makers, and Something Natural. 100 Mile Makers worked to make sure the soup is seasonal and made with local ingredients!

Many thanks to the @newschoolack students who helped create over 100 bowls for this event! We’ll see you at the
