Pumpkin Pond Farm

October 14th, 6:30-10pm

The Tasting: A Taste of September on Nantucket

The evening will start with a cocktail party style tasting and small bites. We will be sampling some of the beautiful, apple-centric ciders from Stormalong Cider based in Sherborn, MA. The evening's menu is inspired by the harvest season and the importance of bees in making sure these harvests happen.

The Movie: More Than Honey
Featuring: An in-depth look at honeybee colonies in California, Switzerland, China and Australia.

Our Food and Film Series is a unique, collaborative event between 100 Mile Makers, Nantucket Watershed Project  and the Dreamer Collective.

The idea for this event all started with a conversation about water quality between two landscapers: one a political surfer and the other a documentary film-making kiteboarder. Which then tumbled into a discussion about water and food. And then farming. And then Nantucket and the power of storytelling. And finally, the idea of a collaborative pop-up Food and Film Series where local producers are the stars and conversations about food, water and more - some of those difficult discussions made easier by breaking bread together - can be born.

We present a unique one-night only evening of local food, fun and film as mediums for discussion about the state of the water in our harbors, how fortunate we are to have so many local growers on the island despite the odds or perhaps simply, discussions simply about the beauty of the Nantucket sky in August.

Brought to you by 100 Mile Makers, Nantucket Watershed Project and the Dreamer Collective.
